WSU's Dental Hygiene program plans surprise welcome home for serviceman

Wichita State's Dental Hygiene program is helping plan a welcome home for Brett Combs, a serviceman who is returning from deployment in Afghanistan to surprise his wife, Estefany Tabb, a dental hygiene student. The surprise will occur at about 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 9) in 110 Ahlberg Hall.

Estefany and fellow students will be in class in 110 Ahlberg Hall. Before class is dismissed, Steve Arnold, associate dean, College of Health Professions, will make remarks about Dental Hygiene month and celebrating 100 years of dental hygiene, before introducing a special guest speaker.

At that time, WuShock will help Combs surprise his wife, Estefany.

Media who would like to capture the moment on camera should meet outside 110 Ahlberg Hall between 3:15-3:30 p.m. When Arnold enters the classroom, media are welcome to follow along, under the premise of recognizing 100 years of Dental Hygiene.
