Capitol Federal is sponsoring the Shocker Honors Scholar Banquet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Preferred HealthSystems Multipurpose Center adjacent to Charles Koch Arena. The event honors and recognizes academic achievements of local high school juniors who are in the top 10 percent of their class and introduces them to Wichita State. The introduction to WSU has proven to be successful -- about 40 percent of student attendees enroll at the university. You're invited to volunteer by Thursday, Oct. 17, as a table host or meal sponsor.
