* The first of three candidates for director of EEO will be on campus today (Monday, Oct. 21) for an interview and public forum. The campus community is welcome to attend the public forums from 1:30-2:30 p.m. today (Monday, Oct. 21); Tuesday, Oct. 22; and Thursday, Oct. 31, in the Pike Room, 266 RSC.

* Student Health will be closed from noon-5 p.m. today (Monday, Oct. 21), and will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22.

* The parking lot on the west and northwest side of Wilner Auditorium will be closed for construction starting today (Monday, Oct. 21) and will remain closed until about Dec. 9. The roofing contractor will be using the parking lot for equipment and to stage materials.

* Visit Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt at 11414 E. Central (just east of Greenwich) anytime today (Monday, Oct. 21), and at the time of purchase mention the WSU Symphony Orchestra. A portion of the sale will be donated to the organization. Proceeds will help defray the cost of an May 2014 concert Tour in Austria.

* From now until Wednesday, Oct. 23, faculty, staff and students can donate nonperishable food items to the Kansas Food Bank. Place the goods in any of the 15 orange bins across campus. * The university assessment committee will sponsor the first fall Assessment Symposium from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, in the Champion's Club at Charles Koch Arena. Lunch will be provided to those who RSVP to Jeanne Patton at jeanne.patton@wichita.edu or by calling 978-5059. The topics are data and services available from the Office of Planning Analysis (formerly Institutional Research), and an overview of the 2013 NSSE results.

* WSU is limited to two proposals in response to a funding opportunity for the NIH Director's Early Independence Awards Program. If you are interested in preparing a letter of intent for the Dec. 31 due date, notify proposals@wichita.edu by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, to allow time for an internal review of projects if needed.
