* BOLDplanning representatives are on campus to provide hands-on traning in business continuity planning (BCP) to select personnel from WSU, 8:30-9:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 30) in the CAC Theater. All university employees are encouraged to attend.

* The Office for Faculty Development and Student Success will present "Twelve Weeks to Your Next Publication" from 2-3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 30) in 200 Lindquist Hall.

* Professor Roy Jerome Peterson from the University of Colorado at Boulder, will present a Physics Seminar lecture "Meeting Carbon Promises: A Report Card" at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 30) in 128 Jabara Hall.

* The College of Fine Arts will host a special evening of events to celebrate the completion of renovations to Duerksen Fine Arts Center today (Wednesday, Oct. 30). The School of Music open house with tours of DFAC and refreshments will be held from 4-7 p.m. A free organ concert with WSU's Lynne Davis will be performed from 5:15-5:45 p.m. in Wiedemann Hall. College of Fine Arts Dean Rodney Miller will offer a welcome and remarks at 6:30 p.m. in Miller Concert Hall lobby. At 7:30 p.m., the WSU Symphony Orchestra will perform a Halloween Family Concert. * Shocker Walker Challenge particpants are encouraged to visit the Heskett Center by Thursday, Oct. 31, so their steps for the month of October can be recorded. All participants who have taken more than 50,000 steps will be entered into a drawing to receive a complimentary massage, semester and Shocker Fit membership and a personal locker.

* The Commencement Office is looking for volunteers who are available to work the 2013 Fall Commencement from 12:30-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Lunch will be provided.
