Watkins Visiting Professorship Lecture Series: Chemistry

"How Do Biological Enzymes Work?" will be the topic of the public chemistry lecture in the Watkins Visiting Professorship Lecture Series at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in 224 McKinley Hall. The guest lecturer is Sharon Hammes-Schiffer, Swanlund chair and professor of chemistry at the University of Illinois-Champaign. She also will present a scientific lecture titled "Proton-Coupled Electron Transfer in Catalysis and Energy Conversion" at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in 224 McKinley Hall. Her research centers on the investigation of proton, electron and proton-coupled electron transfer reactions in chemical, biological and interfacial processes.
