* Sharon Hammes-Schiffer, Swanlund chair and professor of chemistry at the University of Illinois-Champaign, will present a scientific lecture "Proton-Coupled Electron Transfer in Catalysis and Energy Conversion" at 2:15 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 5) in 224 McKinley Hall.
* Travel the globe during lunch courtesy of the Cultural Ambassador Program. Join us this week for "Bridging Continents & Cultures in Turkey" presented by Halil Cobuloglu, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the Leisure Reading Room, first floor, Ablah Library.
* Professor Kaladi Babu from Oklahoma State University will present a Physics Seminar "Neutrino Masses and the Quest for Unification" at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov.6, in 128 Jabara Hall.
* The NIH Center of Biomedical Research Excellence in Anti-infective Discovery and Development Letter of Intent is due Friday, Nov. 8. This competition is open to all junior investigators at KU, KSU, WSU, FHSU, PSU or KUMC, whose research embraces anti-infective discovery and development. * Faculty, staff and students are invited to this years' Service in the City -- Veterans Day event at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11.
