Circle H.S., Ambassadors for Christ Academy claim Kansas BEST titles
Kansas BEST is sponsored by Wichita State University's College of Engineering.
Winners of Kansas BEST 2013 will travel to Fort Smith, Ark., to compete in the Frontier Trails Regional Competition at the University of Arkansas Dec. 6 and 7.
By winning the competition, Circle H.S. and Ambassadors for Christ qualify for the regional competition at Frontier Trails Regional Competition at the University of Arkansas Dec. 6 and 7.
Also qualifying for the regional competition are Wichita Home School, Andale H.S., Rose Hill H.S. and Campus H.S. .
Andale finished second in the game competition, Wichita Home School placed third and Wichita West H.S. finished fourth.
Wichita Home School finished second in the BEST Award, Rose Hill H.S. took third and Campus H.S. placed fourth.
The BEST Award is based on a project notebook, oral presentation, table display, interviews, and overall spirit and sportsmanship. The Game Award is based on the robot scoring points in the game competition.
