Ulrich Musem and Wichita Art Museum partner for two-day symposium

The Ulrich Museum of Art and Wichita Art Museum partner for a two-day forum of presentations and conversations Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8-9. Join the think-tank as we consider today's artistic commentary on nature, ecology and technology. The collaborative symposium includes presentations by nationally recognized architects, artists, art historians, and scientists, including a keynote talk by Land Institute founder Wes Jackson at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in the Beren Gallary.

The paired exhibitions -- "Nature's Toolbox: Biodiversity, Art and Invention" at the Ulrich, and "Vital Signs: New Media Art" from the San Jose Museum of Art at WAM -- present exceptional work by leading artists as they investigate expansive notions of the environment and man's place within it.

The Ulrich Museum of Art and the Wichita Art Museum present Nature's Impact, Art's Force as a free program open to the public. No reservations are necessary. More information is available at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?2592.
