Reminders

* The Central Services service window will undergo remodeling today (Monday, Nov. 25) and Tuesday, Nov. 26. Central Services will remain open, but counter service will be very limited. During those two days, all departments are asked to place supply orders via the Central Services website at http://www.wichita.edu/centralservices and request delivery.

* Because of vacations and the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be no WSU Foundation checks issued this week (Nov. 25-29). Any questions may be directed to Jenny Anderson at 978-3802.

* It's time for annual billings for leased copiers, originally received from Oce. The Canon company has purchased Oce, so payments will be made to Canon Solutions America. There will be two invoices for each machine: one will be for the rental of the machines and the other for consumables and maintenance. Process one ICD for the payment of both invoices. If your department has multiple machines, you may pay all of the invoices on one ICD. For more information, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?2611.

* Letters of Intent for Pilot Projects for inclusion in NIH Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (CBRE) in Anti-infective Discovery and Development are being solicited. Any WSU junior investigator (or established investigator with new research direction) proposing research related to anti-infective discovery and development is invited to apply by sending a LOI including a brief research description to hbcgrant@ku.edu by Monday, Dec. 9. For more information, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?2610.

* Federal wage-and-hour lawsuits hit a record high between April 2012 and March 2013. Sign up for the Human Resources Wage and Hour training class to make sure you do all you can to limit your liability as a supervisor. A class will be offered Tuesday, Dec. 3. Log in to myWSU to sign up, or contact randi.lindquist@wichita.edu for assistance.

* WSU's Charles Koch Arena will be the site of the Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Tournament Thursday, Nov. 28, through Saturday, Nov. 30. Details are available at http://www.goshockers.com.

* The weeklong series of Finals Frenzy events is geared toward alleviating stress, distracting from the pressure of exams and giving a positive kick-start to finals week. If you are planning an event the week of Dec. 2-6, and would like Student Activities Council to include your event in its overall publicity, fill out the form at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?2578.
