Call for submissions: Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol

Kansas Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, Feb. 12, gives undergraduate students the opportunity to share their research with state lawmakers in Topeka. Each Kansas Board of Regents institution can take up to 10 student presenters.

Qualifications:
- be undergraduates during the 2013-14 academic year
- have completed research under the guidance of a Kansas four-year public institution faculty mentor
- follow the methodology of the appropriate academic discipline
- produce a poster of sufficient quality to be presented at a professional academic meeting
- agree to undergo presentation training and rehearse presentations prior to the Capitol event

Projects from all disciplines are encouraged, especially posters that relate to the state of Kansas and issues important to state legislature (e.g., education, health, agriculture, aviation, biotechnology, energy, transportation, manufacturing, environment and social services).

Students: To submit a presentation for consideration, email the project title, a 250-word abstract, and a bibliography to stephanie.fowler@wichita.edu by Jan. 25.
