* Free HIV testing for faculty, staff and students will be available from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today (Monday, Dec. 2). The testing will be done in private at Student Health Services. The check-in and waiting area will be in the lobby of Ahlberg Hall. This World Aids Day event is cosponsored by Student Health Services and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
* Come to the Words for Wellness session on "Good Enough Parenting" from noon-12:30 p.m. today (Monday, Dec. 2) in 206 Heskett Center, as we laugh, share and learn from each other about how to turn failures into teachable moments for both parent and child. Hear great tips from Jenny Bendure, while enjoying light refreshments.
* Federal wage-and-hour lawsuits hit a record high between April 2012 and March 2013. Sign up for the Human Resources Wage-and-Hour training class to make sure you do all you can to limit your liability as a supervisor. A class will be offered Tuesday, Dec. 3. * Emory Lindquist Honors invites faculty to propose HNRS seminars and to inquire about support for departmental Honors course development for fall 2014 and spring 2015. Course proposals will be reviewed by a faculty committee.
