Wichita State's Lynne Davis to make special appearance on KAKE-TV 10

Lynne Davis, associate professor of organ, Ann & Dennis Ross Endowed Faculty of Distinction at WSU, will make a special appearance on KAKE-TV 10 on Sunday, Dec. 1.

This will be during the broadcast service at 10:50 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Wichita. The television program comes on live at 11 a.m. It is also broadcast live at http://www.firstwichita.org. Professor Davis will play at about 11:21 a.m.

Davis will be interviewed about her upcoming 4th Annual Christmas Organ Concert, part of her Wednesdays in Wiedemann series. This Christmas concert will take place from 5:15-6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, in WSU's Wiedemann Hall. Admission is free.

Performing artists with Davis on the great Marcussen organ include two WSU organ students, Nickolas Carlson and Patrick Harms, Michael Hanawalt, tenor and director of choral studies at WSU, and the WSU Brass Ensemble headed by David Hunsicker, trumpet.

The audience will also participate, singing favorite Christmas carols.
