WSU students win University Bookstore shopping spree

Two Wichita State students participated in a $250 shopping spree at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the University Bookstore in the Rhatigan Student Center. The Minute to Win It Shopping Spree, sponsored by the University Bookstore, gave students Jessica Betzen and Taylor Boren one minute to shop for general merchandise. The physically connected pair needed to work as a team in order to grab the merchandise they wanted.

Betzen and Boren won the shopping spree in a drawing at the National Student Day celebration on Oct. 3 at the Rhatigan Student Center, where the first 100 students to donate an item to children in need were entered to win the Minute to Win It Shopping Spree.

National Student Day is dedicated to celebrating and promoting social responsibility and volunteerism by college students. It is one way the Rhatigan Student Center and the University Bookstore honor their students and celebrate their work.
