Karen Countryman-Roswurm '05/'06/'12, will be featured at a WSU Distinguished Speaker breakfast presentation at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, in Marcus Welcome Center. Countryman-Roswurm received her bachelor's and master's degrees in social work, as well as a doctorate in community psychology, from Wichita State University. An assistant professor at WSU, she serves as director of WSU's Center for Combating Human Trafficking. Beginning her career at the Wichita Children's Home as a street outreach worker, she has since worked locally, regionally and nationally as an individual, family and group therapist; a founder and coordinator of youth programs; a researcher; and an advocate. For members of the WSU Alumni Association, the event, which includes a breakfast buffet, costs $18 per person. The cost for nonmembers is $20 per person, and the cost for students is $10 per person.
