* The Alternative Service Committee thanks everyone who attended the Town Hall meetings about the possible conversion from state civil service to university support staff. Send all feedback to Campus Box 47 or by using the comment box on http://www.wichita.edu/asc. If you want a copy of the presentation packet handed out at the town hall meetings, email emily.stephens@wichita.edu with your campus box number and the number of packets you would like.

* Instructors are reminded that change of grades can now be submitted via an online process. The link to the online form can be found on the Teach/Advise tab in the myWSU portal. Changes for courses taught more than a year ago, except those for graduate-level terminal courses, must still be submitted via the paper process through the exceptions committee or Graduate School. As with original grade submission, only the primary instructor of record can submit a change of grade. For more information, go to http://www.wichita.edu/registrar. If you have questions, contact Gina Crabtree at 978-3672.

* In continuing the WSU tradition established in 1962 by the late Nicholas Pronko, professor emeritus of psychology, it is again time to support the Holiday Card Scholarship fund. This endowed fund provides three scholarships worth almost $1,500 each to students this school year. To make a gift, print the giving form at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1944 and return it to the Annual Fund, Campus Box 2. For more information, go to http://www.wichita.edu/thisis/wsunews/cnews/?cnid=12544.

* There are options for State of Kansas employees to receive their 2013 W-2's in the early part of January instead of waiting for them to be mailed toward the end of January. You may also request prior year W-2's online. Once you make the election to receive your W-2 online, you will need to change it back if you decide to have them mailed in the future. You will need your Sharp ID number found on your pay advice (WSU pay stub link in myWSU). Go to http://webs.wichita.edu/?u=controller&p=/pay_w2copy/. If you have questions, contact Payroll at 978-3074.

* Blackboard spring courses will only be available for instructors to work on beginning Jan. 1. Instructors needing access for actual development activities before then will need to use a development course shell, which can be requested at http://techhelp.wichita.edu. For more detailed information regarding planning timelines, activities and what to expect, visit http://www.wichita.edu/bbplanning.
