Much of the west side of WSU's campus will be without central heating early this week, starting mid-morning today (Monday, Dec. 16) and ending sometime Tuesday evening, Dec. 17. This outage is necessary to allow workers to reconfigure some underground heating system pipe fittings that were installed earlier in the fall. Affected buildings are Morrison Hall, Jardine Hall, McKinley Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center, Wiedemann Hall, McKnight Art Center, Ulrich Museum, Fiske Hall, Henrion Hall and Wilner Auditorium.
During this time building occupants can expect buildings to be cooler than usual because heating won't be available. It is hoped that the expected milder weather conditions will help prevent building temperatures from dropping too low and that the heating systems will be fully functional and building conditions will return to normal by Wednesday, Dec. 18.
