Reminders

* Career Services will host the On Campus Jobs Fair on Thursday, Jan. 16, in the Lucas Room, second floor, RSC. This event is free for both on campus employers and students. Employers can register now on Hire-a-Shocker. If you have questions, call Jeanne Hopkins at 978-3242.

* In continuing the WSU tradition established in 1962 by the late Nicholas Pronko, professor emeritus of psychology, it is again time to support the Holiday Card Scholarship fund. This endowed fund provides three scholarships worth almost $1,500 each to students this school year. To make a gift, print the giving form at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1944 and return it to the Annual Fund, Campus Box 2. For more information, go to http://www.wichita.edu/thisis/wsunews/cnews/?cnid=12544.

* There are options for State of Kansas employees to receive their 2013 W-2's in the early part of January instead of waiting for them to be mailed toward the end of January. You may also request prior year W-2's online. Once you make the election to receive your W-2 online, you will need to change it back if you decide to have them mailed in the future. You will need your Sharp ID number found on your pay advice (WSU pay stub link in myWSU). Go to http://webs.wichita.edu/?u=controller&p=/pay_w2copy/. If you have questions, contact Payroll at 978-3074.

* Academe welcomes news from WSU faculty and staff about research, teaching and service activities. Submit news for Academe to Joe Kleinsasser at joe.kleinsasser@wichita.edu.
