* The WSU Shuttle System will begin spring service on Friday, Jan. 3, with the existing route, now called the Metropolitan Complex Route. The new Housing Route will start on Monday, Jan. 13, with new stops at Fairmount Towers, Devlin Hall and Wheatshocker Apartments. A new stop for both lines will open midsemester near Duerksen Fine Arts Center in the southwest quadrant of campus. For more information, go to http://bit.ly/18M0v2Z.
* In continuing the WSU tradition established in 1962 by the late Nicholas Pronko, professor emeritus of psychology, it is again time to support the Holiday Card Scholarship fund. This endowed fund provides three scholarships worth almost $1,500 each to students this school year. * Kansas NSF EPSCoR is announcing a funding opportunity for First Awards in the areas of climate or energy research. The First Award program helps early career faculty become competitive for funding from the research directorates at the National Science Foundation. The deadline for a Letter of Intent is Monday, Jan. 6, and the deadline for the Final Proposal is Monday, March 3.
