* Kansas NSF EPSCoR is announcing a funding opportunity for First Awards in the areas of climate or energy research. The First Award program helps early career faculty become competitive for funding from the research directorates at the National Science Foundation. The deadline for a Letter of Intent is Monday, Jan. 6, and the deadline for the Final Proposal is Monday, March 3. * The Physical Plant Recycle Department is working with a recycling company that is a R2 certified electronics recycler. If you plan on discarding any electronics, put in a transfer order or call Kari Ossman at 978-7853 to arrange a pickup.

* The WSU Shuttle System will begin spring service on Friday, Jan. 3, with the existing route, now called the Metropolitan Complex Route. The new Housing Route will start on Monday, Jan. 13, with new stops at Fairmount Towers, Devlin Hall and Wheatshocker Apartments. A new stop for both lines will open midsemester near Duerksen Fine Arts Center in the southwest quadrant of campus. For more information, go to http://bit.ly/18M0v2Z.

* On July 1, 2013, a change was made by the Office of Research and Tech Transfer to eliminate the previously defined Research Travel Rates due to potential compliance issues with A21. Current travel rates can be found by going to http://www.wichita.edu/travel and selecting 2014 Travel Voucher Procedures and Rates.
