* A new email publication for WSU students will begin the first day of classes, Tuesday, Jan. 21. Shocker Blast will be designed to enhance WSU student life and engagement. For more information and how to submit items for consideration, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?2684.

* Campus Recreation will host a free family night for all WSU faculty, staff and their families from 5-8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 15) at the Heskett Center. The entire facility, including the gym, swimming pool, cardio room and weight room will be available for those who attend. (Cardio and weight areas are for 16 and older only.)

* The Office of Research and Technology Transfer (RTT) is temporarily relocating Pre-Award, Post-Award and Compliance to NIAR Room 307/309 while new space is renovated in Jardine Hall. * The WSU Shocker Soc Club, Alpha Kappa Delta Honors Society and the Sociology Department invite submissions from faculty, students and researchers across Kansas for a one-day statewide Gender and Sexuality Conference, to be held Friday, March 7, at the Marcus Welcome Center.
