Reminders
* The Excel spreadsheets with all the necessary forms to hire Regular-Graduate (GA, non-teaching)-Work-Study students, and Lecturers-Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA, teaching) have been revised with the updated 2014 forms. Those who use these can download the latest version from http://www.wichita.edu/j/?2685 and save it directly to your computer. For questions or assistance, contact Dale Catlin at 978-6150.
* Student Involvement is planning the first Springfest from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, in the Heskett Center Gym. Departments can have handouts, candy, promotional items or other things to help promote the office and its initiatives. Only 30 tables are available on a first come, first served basis. If your department is interested in participating, send an email to jeffrey.nilsen@wichita.edu or call Student Involvement at 978-3022 by Wednesday, Jan. 22.
* The Office of Research and Technology Transfer (RTT) is temporarily relocating Pre-Award, Post-Award and Compliance to NIAR Room 307/309 while new space is renovated in Jardine Hall. This relocation will take place the week of Jan. 27, and the affected areas of RTT will operate out of 204 Jabara Hall during this time. For more information, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?2690.
* Join special guest Sam Ramey in support of Canta in Italia, WSU's summer study abroad program in Lucca, Italy, for "Bites and Flights" from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the Ville, 123 N. Andover Road in Andover. Enjoy an evening of wine, food and music. Tickets are $50. All proceeds benefit the students. RSVP to Dorothy Crum at 686-2827.
* The Institutional Review Board (IRB) has revised the application form and requirements for annual study continuation submissions. The new application form can be found on the IRB website at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?2677. For studies requiring written informed consent, the IRB now requires copies of the last three consent forms signed by enrolled subjects to be submitted along with the continuation application.
