* Gery Markova, fellow for faculty development in the Office for Faculty Development and Student Success for the spring 2014 semester, will lead a 40-minute workshop for faculty members interested in setting realistic goals for success this semester and making a practical plan to achieve those goals at 3:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Jan. 30) in 111 Lindquist Hall. There will be a meeting of the Pre-Tenure Club following the workshop.
* The Anthropology Colloquium Series will feature a presentation by WSU anthropology professor Donald Blakeslee titled "Archaeological Ontology: On the Reality of Archaeological Types" at 4 p.m. today (Thursday, Jan. 30) in 117 Neff Hall.

* Bring your lunch to the School of Social Work brown bag -- "Social Media and Ethics: Realities for Social Work Practice," from noon-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at University Methodist Church, 2220 N. Yale. This event engages participants to examine professional standards for technology and social work practice, and how to engage clients and agencies in conversation about the benefits and challenges of technology usage.
