Reminders

* Faculty, staff and students are invited to an open forum with Fred Logan, chairman of the Kansas Board of Regents, from 4-5 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 10) in 211 Hubbard Hall. Logan will briefly address the audience and then open it up for Q&A.

* Charles Nilon with the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife, University of Missouri, will present "What makes an urban biota 'urban?'" at 4 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 10) in 218 Hubbard Hall. The presentation is part of the Department of Biological Sciences Spring 2014 Seminar Series.

* Leading Adaptively in the University -- A three-day leadership development program for all stakeholders in the university will be held Feb. 18, 26 and 27. Interested faculty and staff, who are committed to making the university a better place, are invited to participate. Staff will need approval from their supervisor as stated in the application. * Nominations are being accepted now until noon Friday, Feb. 21, for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for Unclassified Professionals. Nominees should have provided exemplary, dedicated and caring service to Wichita State University beyond the normal expectations and responsibilities of their position and must have a .5 or greater appointment as an Unclassified Professional.
