* Don't forget, Homecoming Week will be Feb. 17-22. This year's theme is Cirque du WSU. Do you have what it takes to win $1,000? Go to http://www.wichita.edu/homecoming to see how you could win $1,000 this year during homecoming or email homecoming@wichita.edu.
* Fast Break is officially open in the RSC serving Starbucks coffee and espresso drinks, along with Freshens smoothies/yogurt and Simply to Go grab-and-go food such as sandwiches, salads, fruit and vegetable cups. Operating hours are 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays.
* Student Activities Council will host its annual Yellow and Black Ball from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Marcus Welcome Center. Tickets may be picked up at the event or in advance in the Student Involvement Office, 262 RSC. Students receive two free tickets. Formal attire is recommended.
* The Heskett Center pool will be closed Saturday, Feb. 15, for the AVCTL Swimming Championship, however you can come by and watch some great competition.
* The upstairs Heskett Center gymnasium will also be closed Saturday, Feb. 15, for Lego Mindstorm Trial Day, but you still can come by and watch the robotics competition.
* Student Activities Council is seeking talented students to compete in the annual Hippodrome Variety Show. Participants must sign up in Student Involvement, 262 RSC. Students participating must be available either April 9 or April 10, and April 12, if they move into the finals. Winners receive cash prizes.
