* Fast Break is officially open today (Tuesday, Feb. 11) serving Starbucks coffee and espresso drinks along with Freshens smoothies/yogurt and Simply to Go grab-and-go food such as sandwiches, salads, fruit and vegetable cups. The hours of operation are 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays.

* The Wednesdays in Wiedemann performance on the Marcussen organ by Wichita State's Lynne Davis has been rescheduled for 5:15-5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, in Wiedemann Hall. Admission is free. The event was postponed last week because of inclement weather.

* Linda Byrd-Johnson, a key administrator with the U.S. Department of Education, will be the featured speaker at the Thursday, Feb. 13, National TRIO Day at WSU's Hughes Metropolitan Complex. * Leaders and activists in the fight against hunger will convene in downtown Wichita, Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 25-26, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel to generate strategies and action plans for ways that college campuses can combat hunger.
