A memorial celebrating the life and career of professor Alan R. Elcrat will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in 180 Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Please join family, friends, colleagues and students as we commemorate Alan's memory. Professor Elcrat served the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics and Wichita State University for 46-and-a half years (1967-2014) before his untimely death on Dec. 20, 2013.

The Alan R. Elcrat Memorial Fund is being established in order to support Alan's vision of strengthening mathematics at Wichita State University. Funds collected will be used, depending on the amount ultimately raised, for such purposes as mathematics scholarships, a department post-doctoral position or a department faculty position.
