* Faculty are invited to a session on grant writing led by Sarah Haug, grant opportunities specialist in the Office of Research and Technology Transfer (RTT), at 3:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 27) in 112 Lindquist Hall. * Jens Kreinath, associate professor in anthropology, will present "Ethnographic Encounters in Hatay, Turkey," at 4 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 27) in 117 Neff Hall.

* "Putting 1970s Blaxploitation Films in Historical Perspective" will be presented by Robert E. Weems, Jr., the Willard W. Garvey Distinguished Professor of Business History at WSU, at 6 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 27) in 208 Hubbard Hall. Weems will discuss the business, economic and social dynamics of the 1970s "Blaxploitation" film genre. Attendees also will view the film "Shaft," directed by famous native Kansan Gordon Parks, whose papers are housed in Ablah Library. * The Center for Entrepreneurship is offering the first of eight seminars from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in Devlin Hall, designed for entrepreneurs and small businesses seeking to keep up with the best advice for operating business in today's dynamic economic times.
