* The Department of Biological Sciences Spring Seminar Series will host a lecture by Michael Detamore, Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, University of Kansas, titled "Gradients and 'raw materials' in tissue engineering, at 4 p.m. today (Monday, March 3) in 218 Hubbard Hall.
* Stephanie Patterson, visiting assistant professor of bassoon, will give a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. today (Monday, March 3). The program features music by living American composers, including WSU Professor of Theory and Composition Aleksander Sternfeld-Dunn. http://www.wichita.edu/j/?2777
* WSU will participate in a mandatory, all-campus tornado drill at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4. The ShockerAlert System will be activated and faculty, staff, students and visitors will be directed to the appropriate shelter in their buildings. This annual drill helps the university test its emergency procedures in order to assure safety in the event of an actual tornado. * The Tilford Commission welcomes proposals from faculty members interested in developing a new diversity-related course or in modifying an existing course to enhance its diversity content. Successful applicants will receive a stipend of up to $4,000 and serve as Fellows of the Tilford Commission for the 2014-15 academic year.
