Reminders

* Hear about "Managing the Middle" at 12:30 p.m. today (Thursday, March 13) in 007 RSC. Ever work in a group before? Not sure how to keep everyone on track? This 30-minute session will help you learn how to motivate those who are in the middle by elaborating on effective strategies to get members involved. Popcorn and soda will be provided. * Specialist and doctoral candidates who need regalia for the spring 2014 commencement should contact Julie between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the University Bookstore at 978-7021. Purchase orders need to be placed by Friday, March 14. Rental orders need to be placed by Friday, March 28.

* Campus Recreation will have modified hours of operation during spring break. Please stop in and take advantage of the many programs and services still available during this week. Go to

* The Shocker softball team will host Loyola-Chicago at noon and 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, and noon Sunday, March 16, at Wilkins Stadium. Students can pick up free softball tickets with a WSU ID at Wilkins Stadium one hour before the games.

* The abstract submission deadline for the 2014 Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Forum (URCAF) has been extended to Monday, March 31. This year's forum on April 8 provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students at WSU to present scholarly and creative activity to a faculty, student and community audience, while competing for cash awards. * The WSU Summer Financial Aid Application is now available at http://www.wichita.edu/mywsu under the myFinances tab and then under Financial Aid Links. If you plan on attending classes this summer and have not yet completed the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you should do so immediately at http://www.fafsa.gov .
