* Watermark Books and Cafe presents Ishmael Beah in conversation with Ted Ayres at 6 p.m. today (Tuesday, March 11) at Grace Presbyterian Church, 5002 E. Douglas. Beah is author of "The Radiance of Tomorrow" and "A Long Way Gone." Ayres is vice president and General Counsel at Wichita State.

* A draft of recommended changes to the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) social media policy, adopted by KBOR in December, is now available for review and comment. * WSU is embarking on a way-finding and signage project for the main campus. Local design firm Gardner Design is managing this endeavor, and in order to create a system that best suits the needs of our students, faculty, staff and visitors, they are asking for your input. * "Master Your Financials" is the next topic in the Business Booster Series at Wichita State from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, in Devlin Hall. Topics will include cash flow analysis, budgeting, planning and forecasting and cost-volume profit analysis. The cost for faculty and staff is $10. * If you are currently on annualized salary spread, it remains in force from year-to-year unless you elect to discontinue it. For academic year 2014-2015, salary spread payments begin with the pay period that starts on Aug. 3, 2014 (pay date of 8/29/2014).
