* Professor Roy Brier of Carnegie Mellon University will present "Recent results in charm physics from BES accelerator experiments," at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 12) in 128 Jabara Hall. The presentation is part of the Spring 2014 Physics Seminar Series.

* David Kovar of the University of Chicago will present "Investigating the Actin Cytoskelton with Complementary in Vitro and in Vivo Approaches," at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 12) in 224 McKinley Hall. The talk is part of the Spring 2014 Chemistry Colloquium Series.

* The WSU Department of Philosophy will present a talk by Dale E. Miller, professor of philosophy and co-director of the Institute for Ethics and Public Affairs at Old Dominion University, at 4 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 12) in 218 McKinley Hall. The talk is titled "Was 'Strawson's Point' Really Strawson's Point?: Darwall, Strawson and Consequentialism."

* Faculty and staff who need regalia for the spring 2014 commencement should contact Julie between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the University Bookstore at 978-7021. Purchase orders need to be placed by Friday, March 14. Rental orders need to be placed by Friday, March 28.

* Providing a safe and secure environment for the WSU community continues to be a top priority. "Campus Safety: Active Shooter" training helps prepare faculty, staff and students for what to do in an active campus shooter incident.
