* The Wichita State men's basketball team was named the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Regional of the NCAA Tournament. March Madness will get under way for the Shockers at 6:10 p.m. Friday, March 21, in St. Louis. * Come to the University Bookstore for your WSU basketball merchandise. We have the MVC Champs T-shirts, MVC Tournament Champs T-shirts/hats and NCAA bid shirts. The University Bookstore's hours of operation this week are 8 a.m.-7 p.m. today (Thursday, March 20); 8 a.m-5 p.m. Friday, March 21; and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 22.

* Human Resources is hosting a PeopleAdmin open lab from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25. This open lab is designed for anyone who has already completed PeopleAdmin Training and has questions while working in the software. To register, log in to myWSU, select the Faculty/Staff tab and select the myTraining link in the QuickLinks box.

* The abstract submission deadline for the 2014 Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Forum (URCAF) has been extended to Monday, March 31. This year's forum on Tuesday, April 8, provides an excellent opportunity for WSU undergraduate students to present their scholarly and creative activity to a faculty, student and community audience, while competing for cash awards. * KMUW's Spring on-air pledge drive runs Wednesday, April 23, to Saturday, May 3. We count on phone volunteers for the important job of completing the membership pitch with our listeners. * A one-day dental camp geared toward high school juniors and seniors interested in pursuing an education in the field of dentistry or dental hygiene is planned for Friday, June 20, at the WSU Advanced Education in General Dentistry building.
