Alpha Phi Omega colonization at Wichita State University

A new organization is forming on the WSU campus for students interested in service. Alpha Phi Omega, a co-educational national service fraternity, seeks students who are interested in leading the efforts to form a chapter on campus. If you know great candidates to be chartering members, encourage students to contact Fred Heismeyer at fred@leadingandteaming.com or stop by the information table and talk with a representative of the fraternity in the Rhatigan Student Center from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 26) or 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27.

Alpha Phi Omega is the largest campus-based service organization in the nation with more than 27,000 students on 370 campuses participating in its unique program, blending leadership, friendship and service. The organization's mission is "preparing campus and community leaders through service." This co-ed organization seeks to expand the options available to students with regards to their co-curricular involvement.

In the state of Kansas, the fraternity has active chapters on the Kansas State and Pittsburg State campuses.

Students involved in Alpha Phi Omega direct their campus service and leadership programs to meet the interests of its members and the needs of their community. Alpha Phi Omega is open to all enrolled students of WSU and is dedicated to upholding the dignity of its members.
