Do you need volunteer or community service hours?

The Fairmount Center for Science and Mathematics Education invites you to help with the 27th Annual State Science Olympiad Tournament Saturday, April 5, at WSU. More than 1,000 middle and high school students will demonstrate their knowledge, ability and skills in all areas of science. Volunteer opportunities include team check-in, event assistance, event graders, general runners, etc.

Examples of events include:

-- Designing and building the lightest bridge capable of supporting a given mass.
-- Designing, constructing and flying a rubber-band powered airplane which remains aloft for as long as possible.
-- Solving a CSI using chemistry lab techniques

Help is needed from 8 a.m-4 p.m. Saturday, April 5. You can sign up for a half day or entire day.
