* Faculty and staff are invited to a retirement reception for Allen Jaeckel from 2-4 p.m. today (Monday, March 31) in the Gaddis Physical Plant classroom. Jaeckel has worked for the Physical Plant for 11 years.

* The Fairmount College of Arts and Sciences is sponsoring an Author Talk and Book Signing with Elliott School of Communication Director Matthew Cecil from 4-5 p.m. today (Monday, March 31) in 233 RSC. Cecil will discuss his book, "Hoover's FBI and the Fourth Estate: The Campaign to Control the Press and the Bureau's Image."

* Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures and the master's program in Spanish and Sigma Delta Pi invite you to a symposium "Memory, Imagination and Creativity in Octavio Paz's Work," from 5-7 p.m. today (Monday, March 31) in 107 Clinton Hall. The symposium celebrates 100 years since the birth of Mexican writer Octavio Paz (1914-1998). Admission is free.

* Culture Fusion will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, in the RSC's first-floor Pete's Place Lounge. Culture Fusion is the mixture of two or more cultures. Join the Office of Multicultural Affairs Ambassadors and showcase your fusion by blending elements from two or more cultures together through an array of arts, crafts, fashion, music or whatever you can create.
