Faculty members are invited to "Beating Mid-Career Burnout," 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday, April 11, in 113 Lindquist Hall. In the faculty development literature, mid-career faculty are defined as those who have been tenured for at least five years. Faculty at mid-career face a range of issues that are different from those faced by pre-tenure faculty or faculty nearing the end of their careers - including finding meaning, constructing a professional identity, taking on leadership roles, and figuring out how to leave a worthy legacy. Join us to discuss challenges, opportunities, and strategies for mid-career faculty. RSVP to ofdss@wichita.edu or 978-3209. Feel free to bring your lunch.
