KCCEOA, Hugo Wall School sponsor tax policy presentation

The Kansas Secretary of Revenue and the leader of a nonprofit economic council will be the featured speakers at a presentation Friday, April 18, in Wichita, titled, "Kansas' New Tax Policy: Expansion or Contraction?"

Nick Jordan, revenue secretary, and Bernie Koch, executive director, Kansas Economic Progress Council, are presenters at the one-hour session beginning at 9:15 a.m. at the Holiday Inn East I-35, 549 S. Rock Rd.

Their appearance is in conjunction with the annual Sanborn Master County Clerks Academy sponsored by the Kansas County Clerks and Election Officials Association (KCCEOA) and the Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs at Wichita State University.

Other instructors for the April 17 and 18 continuing education event are Racquel Thiesen, city council member and former mayor, city of Newton; Joe Thomas, purchasing director, Sedgwick County; Mark Malick, special agent, Kansas Bureau of Investigation; Scot Loyd, CPA, McPherson; Kristy Bansemer, public information officer, city of Derby; Mark Engholm, technical trooper, Kansas Highway Patrol; Gayle Martin, public affairs associate, Hugo Wall School, WSU; Martha Slater Farrell, president, First Generation Video; Jo Lynn Bright, trainer, EMPAC; and David Harper and Roger Hamm, both of the Division of Property Valuation, Kansas Department of Revenue.
