* The School of Community Affairs will present "The Multicultural Prison," a lecture by Coretta Phillips at 11 a.m. today (Thursday, April 24) in 209 Hubbard Hall. Phillips is in the Department of Social Policy in the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. The presentation will discuss key findings from an ethnographic study of the construction and negotiation of ethnic and masculine identities in a British young offenders' institution and a medium security adult prison.
* Three candidates are being considered for Chief Information Officer and will visit campus through today (Thursday, April 24) to meet with various campus and community groups. Faculty and staff are invited to a presentation by each candidate titled "Transforming Technology and Institutional Culture to be Relevant for the Future IT Needs Within Higher Education."
