The WSU Impulse Percussion concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 29) in Miller Concert Hall. "New Jerusalem" is a composition by WSU alumnus Paul Elwood for ARISE (African Americans Renewing Interest in Spirituals Ensemble) and the WSU Percussion Ensemble. In the course of this approximately 20-minute piece, the choir is featured singing four traditional spirituals, with expanded sections in between, for baritone soloist, percussion, hand bells, piano, harp and bass.
