CDC plans childcare option on Tuesday evenings this fall

The Wichita State University Child Development Center will offer childcare from 6-10 p.m. every Tuesday this coming fall semester for children 6 weeks to 12 years old; provided there are a minimum of 10 children enrolled. This service is for students who are taking classes on Tuesday nights, and for professors/teachers who are teaching.

-- The Child Development Center will be open from 6-10 p.m. every Tuesday during the fall semester beginning Aug. 19, and ending Dec. 9.

-- There must be a minimum of 10 children enrolled on a full-time basis in order for the trial program to be offered. This means children who are going to be cared for have to be enrolled for every Tuesday evening. The cost is $20 per night per child. Children can come for one hour or all four hours. The tuition will be $20 per night regardless of the number of hours a child is present. If a child is absent, they would still have to pay for the missed Tuesday evening. This is because that even if a child is absent one night, we still have to pay our employees and bills.

-- We are limited to a certain number of students per room. Space will be available on a first come, first served basis.

-- Please call 978-3109 to obtain an enrollment card and to submit a $30 enrollment fee. If we do not have at least 10 children enrolled, the program cannot be offered.
