Changes of assignment of staff in the President's staff
First, Andy Schlapp has been tasked with taking responsibility for operations. He will lead efforts to modernize our scheduling and operating processes within the office and he will work with other areas of the university to reduce bureaucracy and simplify processes and procedures. Andy is taking on these responsibilities in addition to his work in government relations and with the Board of Trustees.
Second, Kelly Reynolds was appointed Assistant Director of Government Relations. Because of developments on the campus, there is increasing need to have staff work with our federal representatives, the legislature, the state executive branch, and county and city government. Kelly is assisting Andy with this work. In addition, she is assuming responsibility for the President’s Office personnel and budget.
Third, Pat Campbell has assumed the role of Director of Communications, Office of the President. Demands for written and electronic communication both on and off campus are increasing, and Pat will take the lead in managing our efforts to meet these demands. Anna Weyers has been named Assistant to the President. She will manage the schedule, assist with official campus visits, my work in the community and coordinating the work of the office with those of the other members of the Executive Team.
