* The Division of Campus Life and University Relations has challenged the Division of Academic Affairs to see who can raise the most money for the Heart Walk and who will have the most participants. * Career Services will host an On Campus Jobs Fair Thursday, July 17, in the RSC. At this event, WSU on-campus employers can meet and talk with students about employment opportunities. If you plan to hire student workers in late summer or fall, consider registering for this free event. Offices and departments from the WSU main campus, West and South Campus locations, WSU Downtown Center and Hughes Metropolitan Complex are welcome to register with Hire-a-Shocker. * "Voices in Accord 2014, part two: A Culminating Concert" presented by the adult ensemble of the Wichita State University Kodaly Certification Program will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, June 13, in Wiedemann Recital Hall. Admission is free.

* All faculty and staff are invited to an ice cream social with President John Bardo and his executive team from 3-4:30 p.m. Friday, June 13, in the Bluestem Lounge, first floor, Rhatigan Student Center. * You're invited to submit events for Welcomefest, a two-week campaign welcoming students back to campus Aug. 16-30, at http://www.wichita.edu/welcomefestRSVP for Student Involvement's Welcomefest publications. The submission deadline is Monday, July 14.

* Bring your dad to Lake Afton Public Observatory so he can look through a big telescope at the mysterious red planet, Mars. Dad (or granddad) will get in free for the program "Celestial Favorites," when accompanied by a paying child. Celestial Favorites will be presented from 9-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 13-14.
