Discount offered to state employees for Chamber Music at the Barn

Catherine Consiglio, who teaches in the WSU School of Music, is artistic director for a summer festival of concerts and camps here in Wichita called Chamber Music at The Barn. Chamber Music at the Barn is offering state employees a discount for its upcoming season opener "Spectacular Classics" at 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 18), Thursday, June 19 and Friday, June 20, at 4055 N. Tyler in Maize.

The concert features Mozart's Flute Quartet in D Major, Ravel'sTzigane and Schumann's Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, op. 47.

The concerts are held inside the air-conditioned barn and present a very intimate setting for classical music lovers. Enjoy a walk through the gardens before the concert or during intermission. There is a pre-concert lecture, Inside Scoop, which starts at 7:15 p.m. The dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and is an outdoor buffet with a cash bar.
