* The Summer Saladfest has begun at the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes. Eleven different freshly prepared salads are available for a limited time. Try a Mandarin Chicken Salad, Taco Salad or any one of the other cool creations. Summer hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Fridays with the sports grill kitchen closing 30 minutes prior to closing time.
* The Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes is offering a Lunch & Play special during June and July offering lunch, bowling and billiards for one low price. Enjoy lunch and two hours of bowling and billiards for $12 per person. Those with limited lunch breaks can opt for lunch and one hour of play for $10 per person. Reservations are accepted, but not required. For details, call 978-3479 or simply stop in.
* Last week the Kansas Board of Regents accepted the proposal moving WSU Classified employees to University Support Staff. This decision localizes administrative responsibilities and provides for greater flexibility and more cooperation between the university and USS employees. * A class will include a presentation to introduce the main concepts of the Affordable Care Act and how it affects managers and timekeepers. There will be time for questions and discussion. * The University Bookstore will be closed for inventory Wednesday, June 25-Sunday, June 29. It will reopen for business on Monday, June 30.
