* WSU Foundation schedule: Because of the Fourth of July holiday, any checks received by 5 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 2), will be processed and released on Monday, July 7. Any questions can be directed to Jenny Anderson at 978-3802.

* WSU's Upward Bound Wichita Prep will present "Show Tyme at the Apollo," an event full of music, poetry, dance and some surprises. Light refreshments will be served. The free performance is at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 2) in the CAC Theater.

* New and experienced Banner schedule builders and department chairs are invited to attend the upcoming Spring Schedule Building Training sessions presented by the University Registrar and Applications Training on Wednesday and Thursday, July 9-10. Registration is required. Sessions are posted on myWSU, EmpHelp, myTraining. Please contact Applications Training if you have questions at 978-5800 or training@wichita.edu.

* Career Services will host an On Campus Jobs Fair Thursday, July 17, in the RSC. At this event, WSU on-campus employers can meet and talk with students about employment opportunities. If you plan to hire student workers in late summer or fall, consider registering for this free event. Offices and departments from the WSU main campus, West and South Campus locations, WSU Downtown Center and Hughes Metropolitan Complex are welcome to register with Hire-a-Shocker. * Shockerthon is a group of WSU students who work to raise money for Children's Miracle Network. The group is going through the process of chartering Shockerthon as a Recognized Student Organization and are seeking a faculty or staff advisor for the new organization.
