* The University Support Staff Senate has elected officers for 2014-15. They are President, Ali Levine, School of Music; Vice President, Randy Sessions, Telecommunications; Secretary, Stacy Salters, Alumni Association. * Sheelu Surender was recently promoted from interim director to director of Financial Aid.

* WSU will continue its annual fall convocation on Tuesday, Aug. 26, the official kickoff to the academic year. The 14th annual banner design competition and exhibition helps to increase student organizations' visibility on campus. * Housing and Residence Life is seeking volunteers to help with move-in from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. T-shirts and pizza will be provided while supplies last. * The WSU Child Development Center will offer childcare from 6-10 p.m. every Tuesday this coming fall semester for children 6 weeks to 12 years old; provided there are a minimum of 10 children enrolled.
