The academy has something for everyone and materials are available 24/7. The Microsoft IT Academy is offered free to registered students. To access the Microsoft IT Academy, log in to myWSU, select the home tab and locate the link for Microsoft IT Academy at WSU. There are directions for creating a Microsoft account, getting the necessary access codes and the link to the Microsoft IT Academy. * There is still time to learn to swim before the summer ends. The last session of swim lessons for this summer is July 14-July 26. Stop by the Heskett Center today to sign up.

* Ph.D. student researchers in WSU's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is recruiting mothers and their infants to participate in a study of infant eye-tracking behaviors. Go to http://bit.ly/TXGJQC for more information.

* Join us as we celebrate the grand opening of Shocker Hall, Wichita State's most recent housing expansion, at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, for the dedication and open house. Tours of the facilities, information on living learning communities and light refreshments will be provided. This event is open to the public.

* Housing and Residence Life is seeking volunteers to help with move-in from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. T-shirts and pizza will be provided while supplies last. * The Human Performance Laboratory in the Department of Human Performance Studies is looking for male golfers with a 3-8 golf handicap between the ages of 20 and 55 to participate in a double-blind, placebo controlled trial to test the effects of a nutritional supplement on golf-specific and biophysical measures of performance during a 36-hole golf tournament. A cash prize will be awarded for finishing in 1st and 2nd place.
