Reminders

* You are invited to a farewell reception for Bill Vanderburgh, executive director of the Office for Faculty Development and Student Success (OFDSS) and associate professor in the department of philosophy, from 2-4 p.m. today (Thursday, July 24), in 266 RSC. There will be remarks at 2:30 p.m. Vanderburgh will become associate vice president for academic affairs, dean of undergraduate studies and professor of philosophy at California State University, San Bernardino, on Aug. 4.

* Volunteers are being recruited to help with Convocation 2014, scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, in Charles Koch Arena. * All faculty and staff are invited to an ice cream social with President John Bardo and his executive team from 3-4:30 p.m. Friday, July 25, in the Bluestem Lounge, first floor, Rhatigan Student Center. Help us celebrate the start of the 2014-15 academic year.

* Celebrate the research efforts of students in the McNair Program at this year's 19th Annual Closing Symposium from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, July 25, at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex, Suderman Room. * Because of a move to Brennan Hall II, second floor, the Office of Career Services will be closed now to Tuesday, July 29. It will reopen in Brennan Hall II on Wednesday, July 30.

* Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m.-midnight Friday, Aug. 8-Monday, Aug. 18, in order to make the International Student Union welcome table a success at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport.
