Reading Explorers, one of the programs available at the WSU Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, is a fun, literacy-based playgroup where children will enjoy using stories, music and multisensory activities to learn letters, their corresponding sounds and how to blend these sounds together to read words. The program is currently taking enrollment for classes beginning in August. The classes are from 1-2:30 p.m. on Thursdays for children 4-6 years old and includes parent and child trainings. The children must be accompanied by a caregiver. It is offered one day per week from mid-August to May. Please call the clinic at 316-978-3289 for more information.
