The new Ballistics and Impact Dynamics Research Lab at Wichita State's National Institute for Aviation Research will conduct live fire demos at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at NIAR's Aircraft Structural Test and Evaluation Center inside the former Kansas Coliseum. Photo and video opportunities will be provided inside the control room and containment tower. Because of the dangerous nature of the test, personnel will not be allowed outside the confines of the control room during live fire events.
